I ended up dehydrated

Some years ago I was hiking through the jungle in Trinidad. It was very hot and humid and by the end of the day I ended up dehydrated and I think also suffering from salt loss. I ended up on a secluded beach very sick and thirsty in need of water. I don't think solar stills are productive but calm and still thinking I decided to make one with two extra holes on the side for salt water to fill in. The still produced a lot of water and got me through until a small fishing boat passed by and got me out the middle of the third day. Lesson here your brain, being calm and having some common sense items with you is your best survival insurance.
